Forgiving to move on!

About forgiving the bible is very clear, however implementing it is so difficult. Time plays an important role. As with a wound the fresher the wound the more difficult it is to ignore the feelings of pain. However the wound heals “good” if notwithstanding the pain we do what we must and give it time.

but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
[ Judging Others ] “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
I have often said amen to these bible verses. But now I am facing a situation where I should implement my belief. I am tormented by feelings of hurt, feelings of rejection and feelings of injustice .What does this mean? should I forgive someone who hurt me ? Does it mean that I will forget what someone has done to me that hurt me? Does this mean that when I forgive and forget the hurt caused to me by a person that this person becomes my friend? How fast must I forgive? How many times must I forgive?
To be obedient to the command of God I quickly forgive the person or at least I do not have hatred in my heart for the person  but I do feel the hurt, rejection and injustice. I will keep praying for Gods healing of my heart from the feelings of hurt, rejection and injustice. All other questions I have I believe that only time will tell.
