The promises of God!

From time to time there are wake-up calls in our lives. Important is what are we going to do with that calling? are we only awaken for a minute to go back in our sleepy = inactive existence or are we really awaken= aware of the need to take action. This weekend I had a wake-up call, this call brought an awareness which was on the background of my mind to the foreground. “Who am I in Christ?” Am I aware of what is happening in Gaza? Am I aware of what is happening to Christians in these parts of the world? Am I prepared for a spiritual battle?…Well I have a lot of questions.  The bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 clearly that our battle as Christians is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.  When your preparing for battle you have to put on your armor so I decided to make sure I put on my Spiritual armor.

Ephesians 6:13

Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace;

above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:

So I started by reciting all promises of God!

2 Corinthians 1:20

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.
