This is the true story of a woman who endured emotional pain and sorrow for many years yet exercising love and patience for all around her.

12 years ago I met this well dressed woman. We became close friends and were often together. In the process of getting to know each other she told me her life’s story and I told her mine. She shared with me how she got married and out of her marriage came their 4 beautiful girls. Their children were young when because of a natural disaster they could not remain living in the country they were living. Together with her husband they decided that it was best for the children ‘s upbringing to move as a family to  the Netherlands. To continue the schooling of the kids without any delay it was decided that She would have to go ahead with the kids and he would shortly follow.

But to make a long story short he never came! He always had a lot of reasons why it was important for him to stay in that other country apart from his family. Anyway she found out that he had another woman and was living for quite a while with her. When she found this out of course her whole world and high hopes came tumbling down. She cried at the cross as much as necessary but one day her weeping ceased. She then after praying about it, made up her mind that she would divorce and remarry with someone who loves her and she loves. Furthermore she would move back to the country she came from and all this would only take place when her youngest daughter is lawfully grown-up.

After approximately 16 years in which years this woman never stopped serving God and was always obedient to his word she was rewarded with her hearts desire and more. She is now enjoying life with her new loving husband and she also has a bridal shop. This is to remind us that the Lord is omnipotent ,merciful and  wants us to be victorious!

James 5:11

11 Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
