Different than planned

My intention today was to continue my eleventh day of memorizing the promises of God. I noticed that we can plan a certain outcome but we must accept also that things can go different. I had a very moving weekend. Firstly because of seeing my youngest brother again after 6 years. For him it was a great shock to see me in a wheel chair. His reaction was to cry out loud and I couldn’t help but crying myself. The good thing of this emotional outburst is that we quickly went on to accepting the reality and moving on. We shared our memories of past times together and could laugh at the funny ones. It was a wonderful time together. Secondly I was also moved this weekend by a TV-program : “Hollands Got Talent”, in this program a man of eighty won the talent show with singing. The reason I was so moved is because this man is so full of “life” notwithstanding being alone or being eighty he is “present” and sharing his attention with all. His attitude towards life really shows that he does not take life for granted and he wants to be there for others!

Ultimately the outcome of today was different than planned because I was so moved and I needed to recuperate.

I got ill in 2009 with a disease called PLS . The process you go through when diagnosed with a medically incurable disease is not to be taken lightly and shared as much as you can for that reason I started writing. A wonderful result is that because I am writing about my feelings and experiences it is an emotional therapy for me!
