Living On The Edge

It is hard to believe that 3 weeks have elapsed since the mini vacation for my wife and I at the Inn at the Falls.  Situated less than an hour north in the picturesque town of Bracebridge, this inn became our “home away from home” for 3 days and 2 nights.  Before a busy Christmas season, it gave us an opportunity to unwind, kick back, law low and do absolutely nothing.  🙂

However, we did do some hiking.  We “explored” downtown Bracebridge, as well as hiked around the spectacular Bracebridge Falls.  Due to heavy late November snowfalls, followed by “soaked to the bone” rainfalls, which melted the previous snows, the river was extremely powerful and fast.  Rising to within inches of the pedestrian walkway, that crosses the river just as it tumults down over the falls with a thunderous roar, the…
